CanDo Laundry Service Awards Apprenticeship | Caitlin Hill
At CANDO, it’s fair to say we want to support the local community here in Neath Port Talbot. After-all it is our home borough.
Caitlin Hill has recently been awarded a Business Administration apprenticeship here at CanDo Laundry Service which will provide a fantastic opportunity to grow with the organisation as we continue to apply a fresher approach to our age old industry.
We took some time out of the day to fire some questions at Caitlin….
What does it mean to have an apprentice opportunity?
I’m grateful and consider myself lucky to take this opportunity as they don’t come around often. It gives me a chance to learn and work in an environment to broaden my knowledge at the same time. To have this opportunity makes me so happy to be doing something I enjoy as a career.
How long and where have you been looking for a job?
I had been looking for a job for about 6 months before I got this opportunity. I kept an eye out in local stores; I was also on the internet near enough everyday looking and applying for jobs.
What do you want to gain from this experience?
I hope to gain lots of procedure and process knowledge. I want to understand the need for certain requirements and develop skills I am yet to gain.
What Career aspirations do you have?
I hope to become an office manager working under high pressure situations.
What is your experience working with CanDo Laundry Service?
My experience working with CandDo Laundry Service so far has been amazing, the CanDo Family are so welcoming. They’re a well constructed organisation and I’m proud to be a part of it. The entire team are helpful and work brilliantly together. I have learned so many new things, from different types of linen to dealing with customers appropriate and I cannot wait to learn more.
“Over the last three weeks being part of the CanDo family has opened my eyes to the endless opportunities, this organisation can provide. Working with a young management team and fantastic people demonstrates to me that age is simply a number and not a restriction. I’ve learned so much about the industry and I can’t wait to further develop my experience.”
