Langland Bay Santa Surfing
Courtesy of South Wales Evening Post reporting on this story of Langland Bay Santa Surfing, it is clear to see this Christmas is going to be a festive celebration!
A MASS of surfing Santas are expected to gather at Langland Bay next month.
Organiser Jay Doyle said she hoped 100 or more people, wearing festive hats, would take the plunge on the morning of Sunday, December 14.
She said she had organised the surfer get-together to raise the profile of the Gower Bird Hospital, which she said has decided not to run with its Christmas card campaign due to the costs involved.
She said: “I’m a supporter of the charity so I decided to organise an event to help boost its income in lieu of the card campaign.”
Jay added that there will also be a guest appearance from Father Christmas, who is set to arrive in unconventional fashion — on a stand-up paddle board, sack on back.
